Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ShuffleMyDebt (the "Service"), operated by ShuffleMyDebt ("we," "our," or "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract under applicable law to use ShuffleMyDebt. By signing up, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@shufflemydebt.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep it updated.

3. The Service

ShuffleMyDebt is a debt-management planning tool. It calculates personalized payoff schedules based on data you enter (debts, income, bills, optional HELOC details) using avalanche or snowball strategies. ShuffleMyDebt:

  • Does not connect to your bank or credit accounts.
  • Does not make payments on your behalf.
  • Does not provide legal, tax, financial, investment, or credit-counseling advice.
  • Is not a substitute for a licensed financial professional.

All payoff projections are estimates based on the assumptions and data you provide. Actual results will vary based on your real-world payment behavior, interest rate changes, fees, and other factors outside our control.

4. Subscription, Trial, and Billing

ShuffleMyDebt is offered on a subscription basis. New accounts begin with a 7-day free trial. At the end of the trial, your selected plan (monthly or annual) will automatically renew at the price displayed at checkout, charged through Stripe, until you cancel.

  • Monthly plan: billed every month on the same calendar day.
  • Annual plan: billed once every 12 months.
  • You authorize us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method for each renewal.
  • Prices may change with at least 30 days' email notice before the next renewal.

5. Failed Payments & Grace Period

If a renewal payment fails, we will retry it and place your account into a 7-day grace period. During the grace period you retain full access. If the payment still has not succeeded after 7 days, your account will be locked and your dashboard data will be retained for 90 days. You can restore access at any time during that 90-day window by updating your payment method.

6. Cancellation & Refund Policy

You may cancel at any time from the Settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then.

  • Trial: cancel any time during the 7-day trial and you will not be charged.
  • Monthly plan: no refunds for partial months.
  • Annual plan: if you cancel within 30 days of the initial annual charge, email support@shufflemydebt.com for a full prorated refund. After 30 days, no refund is available, but cancellation prevents future renewal.
  • Refunds for service issues: if ShuffleMyDebt is unusable due to a verified outage longer than 24 hours, contact support and we will issue a prorated credit or refund at our discretion.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract source code from the Service.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate the rights of others.
  • Resell, sublicense, or share your account with anyone outside your immediate household.
  • Upload malicious code, attempt to bypass authentication, or interfere with service availability.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to interact with the Service without our written consent.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice depending on severity.

8. Your Data

You own all financial data you enter into ShuffleMyDebt. You grant us a limited license to process, store, and display that data solely to provide the Service to you. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your information.

9. Intellectual Property

ShuffleMyDebt, including its name, logo, software, payoff algorithms, design, and all related materials, is owned by ShuffleMyDebt and protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and trade-secret laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes during your active subscription.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the payoff projections will match your actual results. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShuffleMyDebt and its officers, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid ShuffleMyDebt in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ShuffleMyDebt from any claim, demand, or damages arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

13. Termination

You may terminate at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting your account. We may terminate or suspend your access immediately if you violate these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, Sections 8 through 14 survive.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Delaware under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.

Class-action waiver: all disputes shall be resolved on an individual basis. You waive the right to participate in any class or representative action.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be sent to your email and posted in-app at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
